Thank you for sharing your experiences. I too was made redundant last year having survived 4 previous rounds of redundancy at the firm I had been with for 13 years. The main difference in our situations is that I am 62 and as such found it harder to get back into work in a similar role to my previous one. At the same time as I was are redundant I hit divorced after a long marriage so it really was a powerfully negative time.

I reflected for a long time on my priorities and needs, I’ve now decided to completely change my work life balance and take a part time job . I started this week and it’s great so far, totally different work to my previous life, working from home and plenty of time to see my kids and do ‘me’ things which I never seemed to have time for before.

I was made redundant earlier this year and a lot of this resonated with me. I have good days but then I have others that are unbearable and I wonder if I'll get through it. I know I will, I've been through it before but in the midst of it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel
